The Withered Race price drop is the developer team's response to the cycle-of-death achievement being too punishing for new players. The unlock path — Cycle of Death + defeat The Master + defeat Bone Drake + then purchase — required 4 separate runs before the race was even purchasable. With the 300-Cealt price, the Withered is now within reach of dedicated players after their second full clear.
Lunaeia's 500-Cealt price is unchanged. The 5-step unlock sequence (Double Jeopardy, Performance of a Lifetime, etc.) is the gating mechanism, not the Cealt cost.
